I love all of your illustrations. I have an ENO that I swapped out a while back, and can't remember where I looked up the info, but it showed going through the gather end channel twice, where your illustration, is only once. Hmmm not sure if going twice is overkill or not......RR

Thanks RR -- personally, I think it's overkill. I think ENO does go through twice, but I think it's just a stylistic inconvenience. Good luck!

It is rather annoying I cannot wait to put a whoopie hook on my ENO. The caribener and rope is so bulky and disgusting.

If you want to change to a cinch buckle and webbing suspension, I would recommend the system that Paul sells at AHE. It comes with the cinch buckles, preattached chain link loop and 15 ft. webbing straps. It takes about 10 minutes to change the system over on an ENO. Just take the old heavy rope out of the end channel, thread the chain link loop through the end channel leaving a little bit of the loop exposed and larks head the cinch buckles through that loop, then thread on your webbing straps and you're done. I use this system on both my hammocks and love it. Easy to use and adjust.

Thanks for the info. I have two ENO rigs that need switched out. My Son (10) Decided on Whoopie Slings. He says he gets to say Whoopie so he likes it. (I love his Logic)

My Wifes rig is being swapped to Cinch Buckles. She likes the idea of hanging the strap with Dutch Clips then pulling a cinch strap.

I swapped out to a WBBB myself and have a Whoopie Sling set up. I also have a Cinch Buckle Set up for it. Going to take them both out and spend some time playing with both in the cold to figure out which I like best.

Such Options for Hanging and all of them are pretty good.

I did the same thing to my DN. I bought straps and buckles from JRB. I untied the ropes and removed them from the DN. I then just pulled the looped end through the channel and then ran the other end of the strap through the looped end. They are perminantly attached but at least I can't leave then anywhere...

One thought and more so a question. When switching out is there a good option at that point for adding a Ridge line? Should the Ridge Line be adjustable?

The adjustable ridgeline allows you to change your sag and it can be useful. But if you do like your hammock in a certain way and you don't think it should change then non adjustable is for you. But if you want to have some adjustability it helps to have an adjustable. You can make these yourself if you know how to make a whoopie sling and have zing it on hand. That is what I am doing I am adding a structural ridgeline that is adjustable.
