Some have rated this fabric at 300lbs. That's probably conservative and I've heard several say they've upwards of 400 lbs in it with no problems.

My son and I both have been in my hammock total weight = 365 lbs and to up the anti and to just make me have a heart attack, he was really swinging that that it!! So if you figure in all those forces....it's a pretty darn good hammock

I have had close to 480lbs in my 60x126. My wife, me and one of our kids with no problems, although I was a bit nervous.

Thanks all. If I'm the one in it, I'm not too worried, but if someone else is dependent on my handiwork to keep their butt in the air, especially the in-laws, I want to make cussing sure their cheeks stay off the ground.

    Colors

The apple green is not bad at all, #1 son has that.
My #2 son chose purple, he is a vikings fan against my wishes...
    I chose navy blue.
I have been informed I will be buying pink for my daughter.
The girlfriend is threatening another purple. arrrggh dang vikings fans.(go pack)

All of the colors seem to have an almost metallic sheen to them. I have been considering a white or champagne and trying to dye it. I do not think a dye will take very well though.

Does anyone have experience dyeing this type of material?
