Thread: The TED Bug net

I think I like this more than the Fronkey Design Does anyone have some better pics for a DIY guide? Or like a detail instructional pic? I understand how it works, but some what confused on how to make some of it.

Ok I have a couple problems. 1) I have no sewing machine 2) I have no sewing skills

Can anyone help me out by making me one or telling me if a cottage vendor has started yet? Please PM if you have an evening to help a hanger out

Well i never gave this TED much thought as i have a BB and then Traveler. I recently got a Lite Owl and like it so much i'm now thinking of making a TED bugnet in Tulle and i even got more infected and am thinking i'll make a winter sock as well. Thanks to Hangout, Pips and and all the other contributers here for this idea.

Thanks for the shout-out, Mbiraman!!! I, too, want to make a TED winter sock but but my sewing machine is out of commission!!! Best of luck to you. Let us know how the tulle works out for you. I'd like to make an ultra-lite tulle TED also!

I made a TED using tulle not long after Pips' initial post introducing the TED. JoAnn's Fashion tulle to be exact. It's still serving me well.

I also highly recommend this design for a winter sock.

I noticed yourself and someone else making a Tulle net and loved the lite weight of it. My local fabric store has it so i think i'll give it a shot,,,even tho bug season is long over here it will give me practice before the winter sock.

I went to a fabric store last week and checked out the Tulle but was concerned as the weave was not as tight as the no-see-um. we have black flies and
no-see-um's here and i'm concerned whether the Tulle i was looking at would keep the critters out. I may have to go back to the No-see-um idea. anyone know where i can buy 60" no-see-um?

Click HERE then click on "Mesh & Netting". They have 60-inch "camo" no-see-um at the bottom. Good luck, friend!
