+1 on that ... fine looking beast ... hope Spencer doesn't see that rig ... he'd be styling for sure!

    Thanx Gargoyle.

I did mine on rail-trails but it would be the same for road trips.

Biking and hammocking seems like a natural pairing to me! Even if it's not a multi-day tour, taking a hammock along on a long ride affords one the opportunity to hang and rest in a park before continuing a long trek home.

Yep... sometimes when I do a 50 mile day ride I throw the hammock and straps in my bag just in case... I figure it only weighs a little over a pound, I don't even notice it.

    a basic setup

Hey, I like the extra wheel but it costs almost twice as much as my el-cheapo bike and paniers.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your pictures guys. Definitely going to look into a new set-up for my mountain bike. The 100lb trailer behind my fixie wasn't as enjoyable as you'd think.

Fixie? Ouch... didn't notice that when I looked at the picture before! What gearing? I run 48/16 on mine, but I'd never pull anything with it!

That was before I converted to hammock, but this pic is from a tour with the hammock:

Love the Brooks saddle! Very nice set up.

I'm currently running a flip flop hub with the fixed side at 17t and the freewheel at 19t...49t chainring. It's moderately hilly where I live and let me tell you, I was cooked after pulling that trailer for 3 hours in 90 degree heat. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/39934922
