    Hey bayoubomber,

Thanks for watching. My total weight for that trip was 26 pounds including everything, gear, food, water and a 16 ounce can of beer. I was aiming for under 25 pounds but my sleeping bag was 3 pounds. I have a Hammock gear custom topquilt on order that should be a little under a pound.
    Take care,

    A few questions:
Were you happy with the modifications on your hammock?
Does the trail ever get down onto the water's edge, or is it all cliffs with the trail above?
Did you see anyone on the trail? Looks pretty quiet!
    Hey sturgeon,

I replied earlier to your questions but forgot to mention I posted a video of my hammock mods here on the Forum and as well in the hammock gear section of the video directory here on the Forum.
    Take care,

    Hey Shewie,

The remote campsite was designed for 4 tents. There are different sizes available. I took the small one and yes it did make camp even easier to have that platform to put gear on, sit and cook.
    Take care,

    Hi Bluefin,

Just got done watchin' the vid. Thanks for taking us around on your beautiful Island. Trail system looked like it was easy to get around. What a great campsite! Throne and platforms! Liked the Ocean views. Nice!

Thanks Bluefin! Nice video. I would looove to have a nice hike like that with a little solitude! I'm sure it helped recharge the spirit!

Great video - good grub, good beer (well, not sure about that one), great scenery. Coastal hiking in Newfoundland looks awesome - ocean, elevation, trees - that's a dream hike for sure. I have to get up there sometime, but the closest I've gotten is Nova Scotia. The scenery there absolutely floored me, but Newfoundland looks even prettier. I am officially jealous.

I make a 12-bean soup/stew with basmati rice that is my absolute favorite trail food. I carry a tablespoon or two of bacon fat to add to it, because I'm a Southerner and think that all beans should be cooked with a little bacon fat.

Looking forward to your next adventure.
