    Hex fly.

I just bought a hex fly 12x10 last night for a pretty good deal. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this tarp. I'm new to hanging and setting up tarps and ridge lines, any advice or videos would be great, thanks, Zach.

Hey, thats my tarp too! I got a set of snake skins for it and that makes setting up and taking it down super easy. I also just roll the guy lines into it (a la Shug) and dont worry about tangles. I ditched the cords that came with and got a bunch of zing it for the ridgeline and guys. I like it over all, huge, sturdy, and a great beginner's tarp. Congrats

One of the best values out there. Plenty of coverage, but there's a weight penalty for the poly version. I was lucky enough to get one off Amazon for $19.99 so I'm an extremely happy camper.

Sweet, thanks for the advice, I'll look into some snake skins. $20 is an awesome deal, I ended up getting mine for $40.

Love my HH Hex fly with door mod. It is a bit heavy but when its really coming down do you want a skimpy tarp??

I hear you, I wanted a tarp with good coverage that I could afford. What is the door mod you did?

Nice tarp. I have two I think they are perfect summer tarp. Plenty of coverage for if it rains and can block a fair amount of wind if pitched right.

Do you have the XL snake skins to fit the hammock in with the tarp?

Not a great idea unless you like to pack wet tarp with dry hammock, thereby making both wet.
