yep...the Dutch Buckle is made to take the place of a marlin spike hitch and toggle.

Yeah, you could. Just girth hitch the whoopie to the buckle. The buckle could act as a drip ring. I like the dutch biners myself because it's easy to detach the whoopie from the continuous amsteel loop if you want but it's not necessary to be able to do this. The dutch biner also acts as my drip ring.

I just ordered a pair of Dutch Buckle's too. These look really neat. I have no issues with using aluminum toggles but the buckles seem like a great idea and will hold the whoopie more securely as well.

So I would hook the Dutch Biner to the loop I shown in this picture ? Could I leave the clich buckle there ? To use with a strap if I wanted
    Thanks

If you got Dutch Biners or Whoopie Hooks you don't need the buckles that came on your Amsteel loop attached to the ends of your hammock. On my Blackbird I just remove the entire loop with buckles and replace with a AHE Chainlink instead.

    Dutch buckle and Whoopie

Could I just use the loop there? And take buckles off?
