    when i make one for my Lite Owl i may make it removable?

    I was thinking the same thing on my LO. How will you do that? Dutch Biners?

    i might make a loop with a crown knot for each end (around the whoopie) and make a shackle type loop on both ends of the RL to tighten over the knots?
    maybe?
    sounds good in theory.

    I was just reading a thread on using smallish tarps, and occurred to me that LSTs can do double duty as end caps, where the coverage of small tarps is a little iffy. Of course, gram counters aren't going to carry LSTs, but hey, it's a thought.

    i would be a little worried that they may funnel the water back under the tarp/hammock?
    they do make great storage shelves for boots and things.
