    The Shangri La has arrived

As always, excellent service from Paul @ AHE. I received the tarp and didn't have a chance to get it over the hammock, but first impressions are that this is going to be just right for all but the worst weather. It is much lighter and packs much smaller than my Noah 12. The Noah with ridge line and tie outs came in at 32oz, the Shangri La at 14oz. Below are a few pics for comparison to the Noah and to a Nalgene. Can't wait to put it to some actual hammock use, but first impressions are really good....great work as always Paul!!

Hey Paul...does that tarp come in custom colors?
(You know me. I'll be glad to pay the premium for the upgrade!)

Actually getting very close to ordering some more fabric soon, trying to decide on what we should order for this batch. Send me a PM with what you are looking for and I can see what we can do.

    aboyd,

You owe me some money! How dare you post pictures of your new Shangri La knowing that I have a weakness.

I just ordered a Shangri La in the new Stealth Brown option!
I'll post pictures when it arrives.

Because you don't have any tarps yet.

    Fixed it for ya!

(Once my Shangri La comes in, I'm gonna have a good sale on some lightly used tarps to generate some cash flow and to help offset the cost.)
