Just got off the phone with the Park Ranger at Kissimmee State Park. She was very nice, but told me that hammock camping is not allowed in the park. It is against the rules to tie anything to any tree, bush, etc.
Advice please.

There is a thread with contact information (it might be in my signature still). I know their park manager and he is hammock friendly and told me he would allow responsible hammocking even before we started the trial program. I'll send his wife a message on FB and see if they can get it straightened out. Don't give up

edit: Nope, it's not in my signature... I'll dig up the link
Here you go http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=51604. Make sure to contact the gentleman with DEP mentioned in the senators email and definitely do a follow up feedback

Samsara,
Thank you. Once again the information shared on this site is nothing short of spectacular.

Edit: They said it was probably one of their part time employees that was working at about the time you called. Call back and you're all set (I think you might already have done that but just go ahead and call again if you haven't already). Happy hanging and have fun!
Dave
