Not so much of a process, as if you go where there is a lot of poison oak/ivy and need to get the oil gone, your gaiters, shoes, pants, socks, shirt (if long sleeved), gloves, trekking poles, and dog all need to be washed or you risk secondary exposure.
And some trips in spring when the sap's running like crazy, I'm also getting the stuff off the tarp and my backpack. We walked one trail and ended up with sap all over us as it was dropping out of this one pine tree.
