Hanging question

Okay, my daughter has become verify interested in Dad's new hobby.....helping me with the build of my first DIY hammock.

Anyway, She is so excited to try sleeping in it, I went and ordered a GT Ultralight from amazon, couldn't argue with $19, as a suprise. I do not want to hang this outside for her.

My thought is to Suspend it in her bedroom where she can give it a whirl and see how she likes it.

Now she is only 8 (and still in the able to bounce off the floor size) but my question is, is there an Easy to way to mount this in her room??

My thought was two hooks mounted into the ceiling joists. Then use some amsteel whoopies to dangle from said hooks. So that the height can be adjusted.

I seriously doubt this hammock will end up outside anytime soon, but i do want an easy method for putting it up when she wants it and putting it away when she isn't using it.

Ideas??

I recently set up for hanging indoors, and the ceiling joists idea can work well -- just remember to get some good distance between them (about 13-14 feet works well), because the suspension will pull inward when the hammock is loaded. I first set it up with about the same 12 feet between points that I have on the back porch, but the hammock pulled the straps in far enough that I was very cramped -- just moving it down the wall to be on the room's diagonal solved the problem.

Of course, for a small girl, I imagine having length to lay in might now be as big a deal -- don't forget to clip on a blanket or something underneath -- I actually felt chilled just from the room temperature without something under me.

I'd use the anchors in the walls studs. You could use the ceiling, but as mentioned, you'd have to have some pretty good distance.

I thought of the stands, but really want to keep it off the floor. Between her American Girl doll collection, and other various girly girl items she plays with, her floor space is prime 'play' area.

Thinking I could use pulley's and skip the the whoopies for her camping hammock.

Then I could use just some rope to raise, lower it as needed, placing it on the ceiling when not in use.
