I have a better chance of hitting Poweball than the weather guessers have of nailing overnight lows two weeks out.
That said, I do the same thing, and believe them, even though I know better.

years ago i used to base my camping on the weather forecast. i would usually be at home during the great weather and camping in the mucky weather. so . . . i don't really pay that much attention. all in all, some of my best times have been in the mucky weather.Originally Posted by oldgringo

well i had to get a new battery for my truck today but it is all good now.
i have work coming out of my ears until Friday the 12 im taking off ..so i can finish packing and get there early.
im really looking forward to it i have some hard 10 to 12 hours days work wise soon and this trip is my break afterwards.. i want to wonder in the woods, and hammock
here i go again . . . the weather is looking good for the hang. cool nights and not so hot days . . . yes, i realize 10 day forecasts can be inaccurate . . . even 10 minutes ones can be . . . nothing wrong with hoping for the best . . .

No, it's a pit toilet.
Yeah I been thinking, maybe next year we can do it at a more family friendly place with fire rings and showers and such. That way it can be an outing for the whole family and my wife might come. She won't camp out if she can't take a shower before bed. Oh well live and learn.
