Haven't been backpacking in a long time, i was looking at doing a section of the AT. While researching at whiteblaze.net i stumbled upon hammock forums, then one thing led to another hahaha! Through here I discovered linvillegorge.net and have been quite intrigued since then. Was going to drive out at first, but it'll be cheaper for me to fly into Asheville...
What that means is something happened...
I will be there on 10/19-10/21. I am not sure if my Hammock will be here before I go though. I ordered it 11 days ago and still no sign of shipment. I may be in a tent for this trip because I will not have enough time to experiment sleeping in the backyard in the cold. What are you gonna use for insulation? I'd like to meet up with ya and see your set-up.
i have a hammock gear 0* incubator and an rei 20* halo as a top quilt, have gone as low about 43* and I was sweating!!!
