    Best Tarp Size

Hey guys I am new here on this forum I am on bushcraftusa. I havent been able to get an answer from people on their hammock threads so here it is.

What is the right size for a tarp that I can use all year round and that will fit with the eno Singlenest. I am open to all suggestions but keep in mind i cant spend over 100 dollars.

Lots of options available. 11' and 12' ridgeline Hex tarps are popular, pitch tight and pack pretty small.

Several options that are popular are the Warbonnet Edge, or Mamajamba, the OES Ultra or Deluxe. They are among some of the best available.

Ditto. Very good value and coverage for your price range.

I have a poor DIY copy of the AHE Toxiway and its served me well. I added some "grizz beaks" for added door coverage in winter and tag them along when weight isn't as important (Scout trips).

Check out the silnylon tarps on sale at Etowah Outdoors $79 w) hanging kit ! I have an 11/12 and a 10/10 . I use the 10/10 year round ! It's tall enough to stand at an angle and have the tarp edges staked to the ground and long enough to close the ends off for doors ! The 10/10 weighs in at a whopping 13oz and has 16 tie off tabs that are breakaway! Instead of ripping your tarp the tabs will pull off first! This may concern you but I've had mine on a ridge in 55 mph winds and it is still in perfect shape!
    High ground is dry ground!

I picked up a new Kelty Noahs 12x12 off Amazon for $51.00
They have a 9x9 too but I went bigger so I can cover two hammocks or close in the ends a but if it's nasty.

I also use a ENO Singlenest and am extremely happy with the Wilderness Logics "Tad Pole", 132" x 92", $85.00 current price.

I just finished 2 nights in the woods with wind/rain and it performed great. (Note: wouldn't consider it a "winter" tent since it's not grossly wide but it only weighs 11.5 ounces).
