So raiffnuke got a chance to hang in the one I made him this weekend and gave me his feedback, which I was glad to have. He mentioned how the shelf side was quite a bit higher than his Blackbird, which is something I noticed on mine as well, but with me being so tall it didn't make a difference to me. I know how I can fix this, but am unsure if I really want to. I like the shelf being higher because it makes lounging in the hammock a little more comfy, and it seemed to keep the stuff I store in the shelf away from me more. One thing I have noticed with my Blackbird is that if I put too much stuff in the shelf, it will hit against me when I'm sleeping. It doesn't happen with this hammock. I have some ACU coming so I'm gonna make another one with slight changes.

So for the people that can visualize what I'm talking about, what kind of issue would this be for you if you had a hammock like this? I'm just trying to get different input from people so I can try different things. I need more sewing projects!

I have no input on the shelf, but jesus man that is one sweet A$$ looking rig. I'm incredibly jealous. A sucker for camo. Congrats

Yukon, that's sweet looking work right there. Awfully good of you to pass some of it on to others. That's part of what makes HF such an awesome spot. Hope you all get lots of enjoytment out of those camo-birds.

Do we get a link to directions if we want to tackle a project like this ourselves? Just curious...after making my first quilt, i need another project.

That is some mighty fine work there. Very impressive.
