    SpinnUL tarps

Just got this email from Brian for those interested in Spinn tarps:

Unfortunately my SpinnUL is out of stock, presumably gone for good due to manufacturing problems relating to the fabric coating. I've currently got forest green, gray, black and royal blue silnylon in stock and ready to ship if you are interested.

Spinn has been scarce to non-existent for a couple of years now

On a brighter note, I have a Spinn UL Ultra that Brian made for me before this became a problem - I love it!!

Looks like Mountain Laurel Designs, Gossamear Gear and Jack'sRBetter still have Spinn tarps.

I own a JRB spinn tarp and it is my favorite at the time. Not much heavier than Cuben but so much more affordable.

I still want to add a standard in Spinn to my collection one day....
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

Agreed. I'm a big fan of Spinn and am actively hoping the manufacturers get back inline with regards to quality. The shortage forced my hand into getting a cuben tarp. I'm very, very happy with it and given a choice between cuben and Spinn (with price not a factor), I would choose cuben. But, for the person that wants to shave ounces (not grams) but still has to deal with the reality of a budget, the Spinn was an amazing choice.

Here is to a speedy recovery.
