First overnight hang in my WBBB

Had my first experience hanging in my WBBB in the crisp Minnesota outdoors this weekend. I must say this trip involved many firsts. It was my first official overnight hang, first winter camping experience, first time eating dehydrated dessert, first time sleeping in so many layers.

I look forward to many more hanging experiences, I think I'm hooked on hanging.

Welcome to Hammock Forums and congratulations on your first hang! Sounds like you had a really good experience even with the cold.

You tackled a lot for your first, especially with the cold! I'm glad you had a good experience out there and are hooked!

Congrats! Many many "firsts" listed there. Now you'll never have to go "stir crazy" in the wintertime.

Congrats. Where did you hang at...Banning State Park? The park rangers didn't give you any grief about hammocks?

Yes, in fact it was Banning State Park. The Ranger was easy to deal with, though I don't believe he was aware we were hanging. The other member of my party would have to chime in on that fact though since he did the booking of our reservation. We had the entire park to ourselves, except for the deer that were wandering around. It was a beautiful night with a nearly full moon and clear sky.
