How many people catch themselves day dreaming of hanging while driving? With the work I do I am always driving and checking out trees and then I start imagining me and my hammock being on the trees.

Chris
i have the good fortune to drive through some pretty country side on my delivery routes, & i often notice nice hanging spots.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Yes, it definitly changed the way I look at the woods!
Hard to get miles looking at all the great hangs. I'm always wishing I would have gone an extra mile when I stumble (sometimes literally) across a killer hang spot. So many trees, so little time.
Trust nobody!
Why doesn't one of you computer programers write a program to measure the distance between trees on a satellite image of your favorite area, and color all the distances that fall within hanging range, something like that. I have a friend who takes those images, puts them into Photoshop and separates thousands of colors. He finds large boulders this way as well as trails that don't show up on the actual photo.
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
But there is also Rule No. 1 for a hanging spot:
if you can see it from the road, its no good!
I wouldn't say I day dream about hanging anymore. Just being out there is what is always on my mind.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".

I've only just started, but I am often dreaming/scheming of new hammock gear that I can make.
Every time I'm out hiking, though, I keep catching myself looking for/spotting hanging spots. It really frees you up, compared to the tent... I love it!
