My First Hammock is on its way

Just wanted to say thanks for all the information folks.

I have a shiny new Explorer Deluxe A-sym classis on its way. I Plan to upgrade to a hex tarp (The company I bought from did not offer any changes, found this out a little too late haha), buy snake skins and maybe get the longer webbing.

I like the stock suspension and will be using the carabiner/descender ring for getting it all setup. I'm pretty excited and Wish I had a place in the backyard I could set it up and test it out. as it is I have a trip planned to Ganaraska Wilderness in early August. Should be great!

Explorer Deluxe classic (2007 model) and hex tarp was my first set up! Love the roominess in it. Never felt closed up like the expedition we have. Its my favorite of the two.

    Happy Hammocking!

Cool! I just ordered almost the same Explorer Ultralite Asym Zip Upgraded to the Hex Rainfly 30D Silnylon and 72” webbing straps. I'm a new hanger also. This is my first. Great info on this site. Have fun with your new toy!
