    Dyneema Webbing?

Has anyone looked at Dyneema webbing for tree huggers? Stronger than Kevlar for the same weight and less vulnerable to UV damage:

But of course, more expensive. I guess the bragging rights to an all dyneema suspension might be worth something...

At $2.25 per foot, I can't see Dyneema webbing ever becoming popular.

EDIT: Oops - just noticed that Dutch's 2.2 Kevlar tree huggers come in at $2.88 per foot. Never mind!

Also, his polyester tree huggers (4 ft.) come in at $.98 per foot.

Dyneema will work as a hugger but it won't work as a MSH or with buckles. It just slips. Also the current selection, from what I have found is stronger but not lighter than polester.

I wouldn't jack that price up yet. My polyester 10 foot straps come in at $.44 per foot

Dutch charges $20 for 10 feet of 2.2 Kevlar so that's $2.00 a foot. I think he only sells it in 10' increments. So at this rate it's less expensive than the Dyneema.

If you're asking about Kevlar, then I think Dutch has the best price. In fact I don't think it's really available in small lengths anywhere else.
