I have been unable to locate cinch buckles I'm happy with. The best, so far, come from onrope1. They are strong enough, but heavy and inelegant.
I like what came on my WB Traveler, but those aren't available for purchase.
Has anyone got a source for really nice cinch buckles? It shouldn't be this hard...

The ones I got from Crazy Creek look just like the pictures from onrope1, so rule that source out.

I just got the UL Cinch Buckles from Arrowhead Equipment. Basically a set of 2 more or less triangle shaped pieces of machined aluminum make up each "buckle. And they weigh a whopping 11gm total for both. 22 gms worth of buckles for the whole hammock. I am pairing that with some of Paul's 4.5g/ft webbing and a Dutch clip for a total suspension wt of 79gm (2.79 oz) per end. This rivals my whoopie sling set up which comes in at 2.15oz per end.
I'm not abandoning whoopie slings, mind you , but I did want to explore some of the innovative options that others have been working on.
I have not had a chance to use these yet, but the weekend is looming so they may get a workout soon.
As usual AHE and Paul were a pleasure to work with.

You are absolutely correct on your assessment of the the cinch buckles from AHE. I have a set on and ENO DN and they are flawless. I got a second set, to swap out the CB's on my Clark, and the chain link is too short. I will have to get a set of links later this week so I can add and extension to the suspension. This stuff is getting to be way to addictive, not to mention expensive..........man do I love this stuff!!!!!!

After trying the ring buckles, only to slide down and "embrace mother earth" I read about the cinch buckles. A co-worker was enlisted to order some online. Ordered from onrope 1 on friday. figured it'd take at least a week to get 'em. Shock and aw! they were in the mailbox monday! Sat down and cooked up some adaptators for the NX150, and headed for the back yard for a test run.
Stunning. These things are fast to set up, and they actually work! I bounced around trying to force the issue, but to no avail. These things stay right where you put 'em! Thank you folks for spreading the word, it really is informative reading HF.
Just don't pull them too tight or you'll have a hard time getting them undone!

Thank you, I'll keep your suggestions in mind and a slip joint pliers at hand for pulling them back. At least until they're needed, then you know how that goes.
