    TX>Hou>New Caney> Lake Houston Wilderness Park-11/30-12/1

Gonna go do an overnighter at Lake Houston Wilderness Park. I read there's a couple trails from 2 to 5 miles long out there with some primitive sites.
Anyone in the area is welcome to join. I haven't been here, so it'll be a little exploring.

When do you plan to head out?

Is this a relatively easy in and out?

I have a Saturday wedding but am seriously considering a Friday S24O.

Do you have a campsite reserved? I'm unfamiliar with the park.

Planning on heading there Friday after work. So, evening time. Very impromptu.
The park is about 5-10 min off of hwy 59. Pretty easy in and out.

I do not have reservations. There's very little info online. Gonna give them a call today for more details.

Called and made reservations. Unfortunately, the only available site were the 2 primitive sites. I reserved both of them. It is a 2 mile hike in, no water, no elec. Depending on work, I'll likely be hiking in the dark. Ill have my brother and another friend tagging along.

How many folks allowed per site, and what are the parking restrictions? I might be able to sneak out myself.
