OK then, I am going to try the Pinnacle. It is hard to ignore the price, so I ordered one. I nearly had a mental breakdown trying to decide which Golite to order. I finally just went with the lightest series. Who knows. We will see how it goes. I think I would rather have a ULA or GG Vapor, but the price was to tempting.

Seriously... do you really want to pull a quilt up over your head when it's freaking freezing out? Isn't that kind of like putting your head into a sleeping bag (= wet down)?
I do if I am on my side. You can kind of make it like a hooded bag, with a little breathing hole on the side.

Yeah, I got one also. I hope I can be happy with it at least with loads under 30 lbs. I am used to that McHale monster.

Thanks Mike...This was a good opportunity to replace my cheap-o Campmor water-proof, "breatheable" rain shell with one that may actually be at least slightly breatheable...and at a cheap-o price. I like that.

And not to change directions, but...Gore Tex PacLite is supposedly the lightest and most breatheable of the GoreTex line...Is there another fabric that is superior with regard to weight, water-proofness, and breatheability? e-Vent? Are there any of the manufacturer's brands of water-proof, breatheable fabric that are the same, or better, but cheaper, than GT PacLite?

the quilt size is wonderful. the loft is exaggerated. significantly.

i am a big tall guy and found that the quilt fit me very well in the hammock.

    Thanks Mike!

I do have a question ... I ordered a Shangri-La 1 (I know but I'm going to Philmont and I need a tent). Does GoLite send out an order confirmation? I haven't seen one and I want to make sure that my order went thru.

Yes, you get an order confirmation email almost immediately. Then, another email with tracking info upon shipment.
