I wonder what topquilt is in there, do you think they hang their tarp before nightfall, there is no way they are fitting an underquilt under there whilst hanging that low, the foot end suspension does not look like it's at 35°, I wonder if they're using whoopies on the ends....

I'm voting for it being a bookbag not a dog, and this is a college student who had too much to drink the night before and couldn't make it back to the dorm. So they put up the trusty hammock and fell sleep. Gives new meaning to.....being hungover.

Obviously the tree straps had only been tested with the weight of one camper, if at all. Another perfect argument for using quality straps that don't stretch. A NOOB mistake we can all forgive. Safety should always be paramount in such situations.
