wanting to sell an item, but.....

I am new to this. I have a paypal account, but have only been a buyer in the past.

How do i properly sell something without risking getting screwed over?

    thanks for any help.

no one here will screw you over.

list the item, PM your Paypal email address to your buyer and have them send you the funds to that paypal account.

Send item to address of buyer...easy!

and again, NO ONE here will screw you over.

I screwed some people over but they had it coming. J/K From what I have seen the money has been sent and then the merch gets sent so advantage is for the seller.

well folks, it turns out the item may not be for sale. i thought i was going to a local outfitter to get a good deal on a synthetic jacket, and thus i was going to sale my patagonia micro puff vest, but they didn't have my size.

NNOOOO, don't sell a Patagonia Micro puff vest. Just buy a JRB hood and sleeves, you'll be toasty warm.

Use the USPS with a tracking number. As long the delivery service shows it delivered, paypal will deny their claim. PAypal offers very good protection for both the buyer and seller.

I've heard horror stories about paypal but have never experienced any problem with them myself. I use the service with any second thoughts. Even where an e-store offers other options besides paypal I'll often go that route because it can be faster and more consistent than using my plastic card. Plus I don't have to type in all those numbers.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

eh? Looks like my micro puff is going to keep me warm, starting the AT march 1st. the hood and sleeves look toasty, but a bit pricey, especially compared to other down clothing.

I never had any problems here or on WB. When buying I look at posts. If it is one of or their first post I usually don't. If they talk hammocking and hiking I do.

If you are selling I think you would be the "screwer" and not the "screwee". Sell away.
