Thanks again shug, I just thought a sticky was a message from one of the moderators. I guess I never really looked at them close.
Just a thought.............On the "Home Page", replace the "Recent Threads" with " threads for new members" or name it something of your choice. Have all the Stickys on the Home Page to be read first before entering the forums. You get the idea.

When I stumbled on this place I spent a good two weeks just reading the Stickys. There is a lot of great info there. I'm glad that I took the time to read them. Though I have to be honest, there were a few I didn't make to the end of because they were so long. And now that I've got a better understanding of phrases and terms, I'll eventually go back and read them all.
Reading the Stickies is the best place to start, because for a noob, the search function can be very frustrating. You can not search for words that are less than four letters. So its hard to find the thread that you know you read somewhere in the stickies or was it a link from the sticky that talks about a set up for a ENO hammock, because you can't. And with the prolific use of abbreviations and initials through out the forum, searches aren't as fruitful as they could be.
The flip side of that is of course getting hundreds of hits because it is such a commonly used word or term.
Start with the Stickies.
loved the stickies when i first joined and enjoy going back to some of them, just wish they didn't show up on every page. Great for page 1, redundant for page 2+.
Maybe I am missing something on the settings and should go back and read the stickies again!
While I love the stickies, and have spent many caffiene induces hours int he middle of the nights reading through them. I actually prefer to read the articles. I only wish we had more articles to read. There is some seriously good stuff in there.

I've been seeing a lot of the same questions recently and wanted to bump this for all the new members we've been getting lately.
Some great info in those stickies!

Eat-N-Park Restaurants in SW PA serve them up grilled and a-la-mode! Fortunately, I will be in Pgh this weekend, so I can partake of a serving.
Wait a minute...we talking about the same thing?
