What did your toasty warm son have for under insulation?
Well the hole 1/8" thing was just my high hopes realy to cut down on weight and bulk a bit over ?1/4"? Well I guess that is the next stepp to try any way. Well an saving up for some UQ materials, or maybe a Yeti will fall from the sky hey a guy can hope can't he As far as why WD stayed warm I can only make a couple of guess's as to what worked for him. Fist he was in his coustom synthetic bag and at his weight ,40-45 pounds, I am not sure that he totaly compressed all of the insulation under him. Second I put him on a car window shade with the dense bubble foam in it. Other than those two factors, and just complete "coma" like sleep I realy don't know why he was warm down into those temps. I got up at one point the first night to check on him and he was totaly out of it, he was laying with his face pressed up aginst the hammock fabric, kind of like Shug in his WBBB review video when he talkes about scarring camp mates or wild annimals and presses his face to the bug net, yah that is what WD was doing in the middle of the night in his hammock totaly passed out. And I don't think I ever showed him Shugs Vid. So I tryed to wake him up and get him back down into his bag but it was more of a pick up the hole bag and move it than actualy get him back to being awake enough to do any thing. He was out.

Thanks all for all the nice comments! And if any body would ever like to come up for a hang, I would be happy to play tour guide.

great report. I know what you mean about the kids passing out in the hammock. When I took my two boys camping a couple months ago, I was constantly checking on my youngest. I have never seen him sleep so soundly. I actually had to wake him up in the morning for breakfast. I agree with graffix abut the scenery, It looks very similar to the sierras. Just might take you up on that tour guide offer sometime, what are your plans for elk season next year?

I don't think there would be a problem chippin' in more than a couple lbs of steaks. Hell i'd buy the steaks if we didn't get an elk. Do you like ribeyes?

If it is meat I eat! If it is brewed I drink! After that it's all just details.
