    Post Sipsey Wilderness

We did a overnight hike 02Jan2011 thru 03Jan2011.It was a Great hiking in from TH206,as we was talking laughing, just having a good old time we passed the turn off to TR209.After walking for sometime,Stick ask me where the trail was(I was talking to my GF)anyway we turned back for about a mile and setup up camp by a nice rock overhang, with fire ring(and firewood!!)so we didnt have to find any wood.We filter water, cooked some food, and set up chatting alittle until it was time for bed.As i got in bed i put on my new 700/The North Face bootie(which was wonderful),on the other hand GF was getting alittle cold,so she got in my sleeping bag and we use her sleeping bag to cover up with.It was getting nice a warm now at 18deg.As you can tell i wasnt in my hammock(ok,you can dog me out!!).just havent tested it at those temp.,plus GF said if you want to test your gear do it at home!!lol.she has a point, but all in all it was a good trip. This is my first trip report, hope it isnt to bad.HS

Great report! It is, however, missing some fundamental pictorial elements. Glad you had a good trip.

Hey there HikingShoes! I was starting to wonder if you had some kind of dbl hammock! After all, you were hanging that rainy Halloween in the Sipsey, weren't you? Oh well, in a hammock alone or on the ground with a GF? I'd take the GF also, I guess! So the dogging out from me will be minimal!

( gotta love that Sipsey! )

Great report HS and I am glad you were able to keep her warm while ya'll were out. I remember the rain and the leaking tarp I had that night, total bummer!!!!! Keep up the reports and hope to see you on the trail again soon.
