Great report and pics Paul. Lovely place/ Really liked that curved wall part of the canyon. I admire your drive to head on out and make it happen. I know what you mean about snow in the high country. I've been wondering if the high country will open up this year at all,,,,still 100% snow pack. The rivers are busting and weather continues to be rainy and cool allot.

wish i could have joined you.. summer school. ugh.

next time you come down, i'll take you from the top to the bottom as a thru-w/shuttle.
and yes, the colors on the red rock change from dull brown in the morning to fiery red in the sunsets.. there is no wonder why Oak Creek canyon gets international visitation.

    thanks for posting Paul!

Just looked at all your pics again. Paul. I long to be there again. Did yo see any trout in that clear water? I have caught a few trout from that creek- and the main Oak Creek- in years past. With a grasshopper dry fly.

I never saw one when I lived there, but there must be a lot of skunks in AZ. Who was it here- at a group hang somewhere- maybe West Clear Creek?- that reached out of his hammock for water at night and grabbed hold of a skunk, getting sprayed?
