I looked on the arrowhead site and found my size with extra down for $65.00, but they still wanted almost $16.00 to ship. EEK!
Not sure 80 bucks will give that much more satisfaction than the Sierra's at about half the cost. HYOH

No problem. I have to be price conscious if I want to be able to do my next section hike in the spring

Looking into getting one myself. Who did you buy it from and what drew you to that one?

Wow, that is a big difference. What do you have for a sock, material? Sorry, noob do not know IX
If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.

Sock: It was made by Bloomgorge, not myself, who has a lengthily HF thread about the design and construction. He made it about the time Molly Mac was producing the IX sock with SEEP.

This one has an insultex (IX) lined bathtub lower attached to a breathable nylon upper.

Insultex is a thin closed cell foam like sheet that comes sandwiched between supporting batting. It is not very breathable and has some insulating value.

Hammock sock is a beautiful thing. It acts a a quilt splash guard. Traps body heat to provide a barrier to the cold. Acts as a windbreaker. Gives you a bit of storage under the hammock for clothes. There quite a bit on socks here on HF but I have to say I did not believe people when they said adds 15-20 to your rig but it really does.

Great for me as I sleep cold.

Sock: Dream-Hammock, Papa Smurf had the best prices and I've heard nothing but good things about his products. I had mine made from 1.1 Olive Brown Uncoated Ripstop Nylon. You can also get the sock made from M90, but it doesn't breath like the uncoated Ripstop. I plan on using my sock in conjunction with my tarp for extra protection against the cold and the occasional blast of wind that makes past the tarp doors.
