Indoor full time hammock

I have slept in an ENO double now for about a year. I started out by taking the 30 night challange and never looked back. My wife still sleeps in our select comfort air bed but I can no longer take it. Sleeping every night in the hammock has been one of the best decisions I every made.

Unless you're doing this because the DIY bug bit you hard, I'd recommend just spending the $69 bucks on the fringeless Brazilian I linked to in my earlier post. It's made from some seriously heavy cotton material. It's a steal at that price.

+1 on what Knotty said. IMHO a bed sheet is too thin. I don't think that it would hold up in the long term.

We used double-layered bed sheets to hang up for the kids. Over time, wrestling, tumbling, flipping, and hanging on it wore it quite thin, and it didn't last long. We also used sheets for ourselves in the early days, but the size was a bit limiting. It did hold up quite well.

For me, currently: Homemade hammock between 4x4 posts right by the wood stove. Can't beat that! (Yes, I'm a cold sleeper, I need the heat!)

Unless you've seen one of their hammocks in person, I would urge caution. There are a great many cheap hammocks out there that folks try to pass off as "Rolls Royces of hammocks". I've had my eye on that site too and have fought off the urge to order a few times. They say all the right things about the hammocks and the pictures look nice, but you know what they say about being "once burned". I think it's the fact that they sell those beautiful Mayan hammocks, built my tribal folks no less, but right next to them on the home page is a blue nylon hammock. I learned on Sesame Street that one of those things is not like the others. Makes me leery.

But if you order one, I will be more than happy to read your review.

Assuming I don't break down and pull the trigger myself.
