As far as how small it packs down, it will probably will be about the same as any other quilt. Also it depends on what size quilt you purchase and if it is overstuffed. The quilts do not come with a stuff sack yet, but when I emailed him, he mentioned he will start including them in 2013. Also, he mentioned that if I ask him for one with my order now he will include one. I bought his Revelation X 20 degree in the largest size and overstuffed and it is a very good quilt. It is also very multi-functional in that I can use it as a top or bottom quilt and it has loops to secure to a pad when going to ground. I asked for a stuff sack and he sent me a prototype waterproof sack with a roll top. it is very nice, though I like to compress all my quilts in a different compression sack (with my pillow, hat, socks, etc.).
I hope I did not step on his toes by mentioning the extra stuff sack. His work is very high quality and the price is very reasonable, and I am currently saving to purchase a 40 degree quilt for next summer.
I love my Revelation X; it truly is one of the gear bargains available!!
how much did the 30% overfill cost though
Anyone used one as an UQ? Got any feedback?
Apologies for the hijack, not much came up on a search in the UQ section and there's clearly a few users here.
At the moment it's a toss up (for me) between the Revelation X or something from UKhammocks.
bigfoot2 uses them regularly for a uq
It's not the boulders that throw us off balance, it's the pebbles beneath our feet
I have just started using my quilt made by Tim...the only issue I have is the straps with the cinch cord come undone quite easily. Any suggestions ? I was thinking of putting mitten hooks on them to keep the cord in place. Thoughts
