    CT Noob: AT Section Hike

Glad to have come across the site. It's a great resource. I'm enjoying the scene and appreciate what's been put together. Really good stuff.

My only time in a hammock stems from three nights at a friends camp years ago. Putting it into action on the trail is a no-brainer. Tho brainless, it's taken me a while to figure it out.

I'm planning section hikes of primarily the New England portion of the AT, (NY - ME). I'll be knocking out NY, CT & MA in individual trips and breaking VT, NH & ME into roughly 90 mile clips. I don't have a time frame for completion nor anything on the calendar but hoping to have either NY-MA or ME completed by the fall. I'll post up once sorted out and approved by the better half.

I'm looking forward to perusing the threads and finalizing my kit as well as possibly finding a hanging to join.

    Thx,
    GG

    Thanks all.

Seems to becoming together quickly. I just pulled the trigger on a WBBB 1.1D and came across a hanging I should be able to make in MA.

    On to a Tarp...

===> Welcome! And if you are coming to the Mass Hangin', there will be a TON of knowledge there for you! We have some things in common:: I just ordered a WBBB 1.1 Dble myself, and also plan to do the entire Mass section of the AT next April - Ct to Vt.

Hope you can make to to the hangin'! BTW: We are having a SPAM cook-off there, so think-up some good mystery meat(?) recipes!

Again - welcome to the trees!
