when I use tensioners- surgical tube variety with bowline at each end....I just run a guyline with a bowline through a loop on the tensioner....the other tensioner loop slips over a groundhog stake.....then the other end of the guyline goes to a figure nine which is zipped to the d-ring of the tarp....

    no slip so far.....

anyone try triptease line with a fig 9? I wondered if it is too thin for the nines to grab??

Im gonna try without first, then im gonna make HC4U's tensioners, the ones with shockcord looped in the middle, they appear to be the lightest and functional as well. Also no cold weather issues from what i know about them.

Stormcrow showed me a knot that was quick and simple for pinning out the sides on a tarp. Don't know the name, but it would work well with tensioners.
It's not, really.... I'll see about shooting a video...
