Diva, I'm impressed. Lots of work involved there, no wonder you flared. I keep thinking about starting projects, then decide to lay in the hammock a while longer and think some more.

I think it will help me a lot with my knees, back and hips. I want to make a 2nd one soon for my son, but I may change the style a bit. We'll see. Thanks for the compliment.

Thank you very much. I've been DIY since I started this adventure almost a year ago, but this was the first time I stressed myself out over it

Lesson learned. I'm hope that one day soon the dinning room table will be back to normal along with the spare bedroom, and I'll be satisfied enough to just enjoy what I've done without having to do much more.

Adding the padding to the "pistol" belt will definitely help, you may also want to look into adding a set of padded "H" or "Y" military suspenders to the Diva Cart. Check out this link, http://www.armynavydeals.com/asp/pro...KU=fx5540&ST=2, you can see both the H, Y and a padded waist belt.

Yea, this was something that I looked at, but wasn't sure if I needed. Now, after having pulled it through out the neighborhood loaded, I think this would be a very good addition. I honestly also thought I had enough padding on my own body for the belt....but it was starting to hurt, so that has to change. I was also thinking the next may need a bit longer. Makes turning harder, but I think the weight of it loaded would feel better. This one is already glued and pinned.

I tried a one wheel version....balancing everything in the center and keeping it heavier right above the one wheel was next to impossible. For me anyways.

I've been wanting to make it to and Indiana hang...but if it involves materials and project lists, I think I'll hold off on that trip

On the cart, if you do decide to go the CCF route, I'd recommend either putting the padding on the outside of the webbing belt you already have or using something other than plain nylon ripstop for its covering on the inside.

I used 1.9 oz ripstop from JoAnne's for my Alpha Test pack's belt, and I found that it slipped off of my hips too often for my taste. My Beta Test pack has the 3d spacer mesh from DIY Gear Supply on the inside of the belt, and it holds on to my hips just fine up to seventy-five pounds or so ('course, my hips feel crushed at that weight, but them's the breaks when you have that much weight on a pack).

Does the hip belt feel uncomfortable all the way around your hips and waist, or is it just at the back? If it's just at the back, it might be worth putting a CCF pad at the interface between the cart's support struts and the belt, probably backed with a couple of pieces of plasticard cut from one of those "Keep Off of the Lawn" signs or something similar in thickness. Just a thought.

I have it resting on top of my hips, around my waist. The center of my back (spine) is curved enough that there is no pressure on my spine, but it starts to hurt the top part of my hips and around them. This belt is so stiff that it just sort of digs into that area.
