We would have found a yak for you if you needed one! Next time speak up!

Gumbo and Timberrr were great hosts. Hope we can do it again some time. Sorry I missed the rest of you, hope you found a place to hang. I had a 15 hour drive on Saturday, arriving home to snow on the ground. Hope to get my photos up this evening.

    Thanks again!
So glad you came! It was great meeting you. I can't wait to see the photos you took (unless one is of me driving the dinghy) I'm hoping there were no pics so I can claim it didn't happen!

Great meeting Scott,Bruce,Karen, their daughter; of course Gumbo, Timberrr and their son. Also Duffy, Zukiguy, and Johnny Walker. I've done a lot of these hangs, I think this was no. 14 and in all those folks I've not met a one I would want to hike or paddle with again.
    Thanks again for inviting me.
p.s. working on a funky vid-funky when you don't have batteries.
Yeah, a great bunch of folks to be sure.
I'm glad to see you made it home safely!
Can't wait to see the video even though I'm nervous about being in front of the camera rather than behind it.

Very cool Trip Report. Nice pix too.
Sorry I was not able to make this one. Looks like a good time was had by all.
With "Gumbo" cooking things up, you're sure to eat like a King. Timbrr you have yourself a mighty fine paddling partner there.
Keep me in mind on your future paddling & hanging trips. We'll catch up together I'm sure.
Also really nice reading about your ground dwelling converts, way to go!

    Happy Birthday

Since it was my birthday I got a chance to use up a "special" kitchen pass. So, instead of doing the typical family stuff I got to "sit in the woods and act foolish" (that's what my wife calls camping).

Again Timberr and Gumbo made me very welcome and are terrific hosts. Like the true mother hen Gumbo was convinced that everyone in the group hadn't eaten in days. From the moment I set foot on the island food was flying out of the fire or stove and into my belly. No complaints here.

The setting was beautiful but could benefit from applying some LNT principles (fewer TP flowers). I guess that's the price you pay for having a site that's easy to get to. I got a chance to meet some new hangers and maybe some future hiking contacts. What's not to like.

    So, when's the next hang????
