I have but frankly I do not want to go through HH ever again, I had a bad first experence with them.

As for my choices I have looked through. I am debating between the following in this order; WB Big Mambajamba, OES MacCat Deluxe, JRB SilNylon hex then JRB Hex camo. I think the Superfly maybe too much fly considering I tend to stay in areas of good undergrowth and wind/rain protection, good enough I chould almost go without a tarp in Summer even in light rain. . So if any of you are willing to persuade me now, do so, or I'll go with my choice now. Thanks for the help guys.

All of the Hennessy hex flys are under $130. I have the hex PU coated at $60 and it is excellent if a little heavy.

I'm looking at the Big Mamajamba also. I want something with side pulls, now the dilema is doors or no doors.

Well I was looking a while back and opted for the Maccat Deluxe, seams sealed, good size, decent weight, good price. I haven't got home to use it, buy will be setting it up and taking to WA in the Olympic Penisula in late June...

I can use a poncho to close one end if needed....

The others I'm sure are all good products too, but the mac at fit my budget, and I feel sure will fit my current needs.

A discussion on just that issue here.

I'm in a similar dilemma. I think I'll probably end up going with the superfly with doors and then make a DIY Assym tarp for good weather/summer. Not a ton of rain in SoCal.

Thanks all of you for your help, I recieved my Big Mambajamba about 4 days ago. I am sorry I have not let you all know before hand. I am going to rig up the guy lines for it. I will be taking the tarp out for its first run on the June 23rd-25th or 26th. I will post pictures and comments on it then.

Thought I'd post a bit of an update for both Weasel and I on this particular subject.

Last camping run was in the end of June. Rolled out Friday night, weather was hot and humid. Saturday morning looked bad. Got up about 7am, saw clouds rolling in and heard the thunder.

Weasel had already setup his BMJ, and I was under my HH Hex. Other sons were smart and just stayed in the tent...LOL!

We weren't moving that day, so we both just skinned up our hammocks, lowered and tightend up our tarps, and started breakfast from under our respective porches.

It came down. Not the worst storm I've seen, but the first real test of either tarp since we've started hanging.

    Gotta say...both tarps were AWESOME!

It felt great sitting there under the tarp, pocket rocket stove heating up some coffee and oatmeal, listening to the rain and reading my book.

Weasel was EQUALLY as pleased with his setup as well.

Just thought I'd share a wonderful morning that sure could have been worse. =-)

i'll give another plug for the JRB11x10 ... it's a great tarp you can't go wrong for the price and size

the only reason i sold mine is because i got a Cuben tarp and i didn't have a need for it anymore... i will miss her
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
