What's the best Double Layer Hammock?

Well, it's time to add a new hammock to the collection. I've got a HH Expedition Asym Zip (no complaints), and a couple of Byer Moskito Hammocks (okay).

I want my next hammock to be $100 or less, double layer with a 350+ lb. rating, capable of holding someone up to 6'5" - this is going to be my hammock for friends/noobs. I'll use it for experimenting with a DIY peapod. I can also use it with ccf blue foam pad in case my snot-nosed kid rips off my Hammock Gear TQ & UQ.

I don't want an integrated bugnet, 'cause I don't think it's possible to use a peapod with any of the integrated bugnet hammocks (correct me if I'm wrong). If I need a bugnet I'll make or buy one.

Right now I'm leaning towards a Warbonnet Traveller, but am I missing any vendors? My brain just ain't working lately. I've got Hammock Forums fatigue - I've read too many posts to absorb the info.

well, youre going to be hard pressed for a double for under $100, but the Night Owl from WL is 120 and is awesome.

Tree to Trail and Wilderness Logics both make DL's as well. They're a little more than the budget though.

You can't go wrong with the Traveler though. Fantastic.

I use the Traveler for winter camping (and the Blackbird in bug season). Love it.

Heck, if you're looking for a basic hammock, DIY - 2 Layer 1.9 ripstop from Joann's...

    With a 40% off coupon, 7yds of fabric is only... umm... $7.99 -40% = $35-ish...

Not hard to make... of course, you'd need a SEWING MACHINE, or a lot of DVD's to watch while you hand-sewed 45+' of hem... or sweet talk a friend into making it for you... sounds like the WB traveller is a good buy... it includes suspension...

I'm already shuddering at the weight of a double layer even in 11. ripstop, and the WB Traveller I was coveting was 1.7 and heavy. I may go the DIY route, but geez, I really overthink things and am a perfectionist. And you folks have shown me DIY is an addiction - just what I need - another addiction.
