Yeah 11 miles is a nice morning warm up, but I would have really liked to do the whole 27. Those ponies are something else. Thanks for watching.

It was great to see you again at TDs. I am sorry you couldn't make it to the Gorge.
I was unable to make it to the Gorge this spring due to back surgery but I will be there this fall, hope to see you there then and at John Rock too.

It is always good to see you, Bob. I didn't get to spend the time at the WL tent since they were always so busy. It was a cool set up they had there.

Get to feeling better yourself, and I hope to see you at John Rock and the Gorge.

Yeah, so the extra clothes could have helped a little bit. I've had hypothermia before and was glad that it didn't come to that, though it could have very quickly. You don't have to go UL so long as you are enjoying yourself.

Enjoyed the trip report. I'm glad that you wrote it out in addition to the video because I have trouble downloading videos at home. Sometimes I can see them, other times, cant.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

I had a feeling the video might not give all of the detail I wanted and neither would the report. Together they should pair well. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

    First thought-I need a razor.
Next I recognized the inside of Partners BBQ-great place to eat!
Cameo appearances by the Crows (Stormcrow and Thorwren) and the Hitched HIked crew were great and FIMB you showed your a great master of ceremonies.
Cake's mini-TD looked a whole lot more peaceful and relaxing without the throngs of people everywhere.
STUNNING hang site near Thomas KNob. Last time I saw Buzzard I was wearing snowshoes...will head back there in a few weeks for some nighttime camera work, what an area eh!
Cho-pats on the knees-I need cho-pat for the body!
    FIMB simply an outstanding video.
    Another FIMB vid? DO IT!

GREAT to see the ponies-one bit me once, after I ran out of carrots I started walking and got nipped in the lower buttock right below the pack-he or she wanted more carrots
Quick shot of the trilliums on the AT was nice THEN an awesome trillium still (I'm always on the lookout for Wake Robin).

    FIMB,

Thanks for the great trip report. I enjoy watching your videos.

Do you know what rain gear that Detail Man was using? It looked like it provided great coverage.

    Sincerely,
    Dave-O

Thanks for watching, MedicineMan. You really think I'd have what it takes to MC? I could go for that. Cakes house was very relaxing. The site at Thomas Knob was beautiful, but chilly with the wind. But, as Detail Man points out, "You don't get rainbows on fair weather days." I'll look forward to your camera work from Buzzard. The ponies like to try to eat the hikers, my wife didn't believe me. I do love the triliums. Detail Man was scouring for a Wake Robin.

Thanks you for the kind words, Robert.

You are very welcome, Dave-O. Detail Man was wearing a DIY Pack-cho and rain pants from Quest Outfitters. He says that he needs to make it just a bit smaller.

Chilli! It was good to see some of the Hammock Forum trip report making people in the one trip report. The walk you did looked like it could have been in Scotland. Weird having those horses around, don’t usually see that while hiking. Thanks for the trip report, FireInMyBones, it was a great breakfast getaway.

Thanks for watching, Brucie. Seeing a bunch of new people was great! The trip was a ton of fun, even though much of it was wet fun. I was expecting the ponies, but they certainly seemed out of place (they are there to keep the balds clear).

I thought it looked like something out of Scotland. Notice the Sherlock Holmes reference in my write up? I thought we might be out on the moors.
