I have one an find the temp rating to be way off. At 60F I sometimes start to get a bit chilly in it.

I also have their 20F down top quilt and find that to be rated accurately.

I think the name GoLite is a bit of a misnomer yea? Lot of there stuff can be found at other companies with similar gear for lighter

I've been cold at 40-45 in mine, but I was battling an even colder UQ, so I still have not given it a proper test. I think it would be ok with a full UQ and a few more items of clothing. Probably perfect for the SE US in summer.

They put some more on the sale page.

I think these are a great deal at this price. Normally I only use down, but synthetic makes sense to me in a summer weight, as these still pack fairly small.

With this bag and a BA Air Core Insulated pad under me, I was comfortable at 50. (That was on the ground). The bag compresses really well for synthetic. Great price, I paid $125 last year.

Would this make a decent UQ for Texas and southern states weather?

That depends on what kind of sleeper you are, hot or cold. This seems like a great deal.

Not for me 1 lb 9 oz? My 20 degree rei sub kilo is 2 lbs flat! I will carry 7 oz more and know I can be comfy. I should take into consideration though , by backpacking mostly in the spring.
