Hamhocker got this weekend off so we are headed to BSF. We will be driving up Friday afternoon after we both get off from work. I am hoping we can get campsite 39 since that is mentioned in this thread. Not sure what trail we will be doing yet and really don't care. We can't wait to get away for the weekend

Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

Thats great news! What time do you think you might arrive? 39 is the site us thursday arrivals plan on staying at and then driving to the trailhead. Were you going to hook up with the group or just do your own hike? Depending on your arrival time either Hangnout or myself could probably tell you a good point to meet up. Either way it goes I am glad you get to get out for a weekend.

I checked online and I can't reserve a campsite for this Friday night. Earliest I can is Sat night and we will be camping on some trail

As far as the Nov hike I will either drive up Thursday night and meet everyone at the campsite or get up early Friday morning and meet you at the trailhead..not sure yet.

Just over 6 weeks to go and looking like we are going to have a pretty good turnout for this. Still no word from last years prince of the pyros though. Looking forward to an outstanding time

Have you checked with Mephistopheles? Our man is probably teaching him how to keep a fire burning.

I checked, but he was long gone.....I think we can safely place our bets on the real cause of global warming though

    I'm getting excited.
Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.

Where did you locate a buffet?

I probably check 3-4 times a day to see if this has been updated. I can't wait.
