I love my Buginator. Wish I had a nano!
If you open the bottom of the Buginator, you can sit in your hammock. Your head and body will be covered by the net, but your feet will stick out. You can't slide it left or right. You might be able to kind of push it behind you, but it's not ideal. Brian, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Like any design, this one has tradeoffs. I see the sitting issue being one of those. David is right. Sitting up and hanging out in the hammock is fine as long as you don't mind your feet sticking out of the net while the rest of you is inside of it. Sliding it down to one end or the other isn't really an option either. Pushing the net behind you creates counterpressure as the net pulls against the hammock near the suspension line (on the ends). It works, but it's not something I'd get in the habit of doing. Wear and tear and all that...
Taking the net off and on takes some getting used to. As Shane says often, the net goes on like a T-Shirt. Over the top, arms out the sides (suspension holes). Dutchware Whoopie Hooks make this a breeze. I am not trying to sell you the hooks, but I am pointing out how quickly the process comes together when you unhook, pull the net off the suspension, rehook, go to the other end, same process, voila, net off. Takes no more than a minute.

I just demo'd the nano at a hiking conference last weekend. Though I'd practiced at home the wind made it quite interesting to attach. It wasn't quite ad smooth as I would've liked. Once it's situated, though, it's quite nice.

I can agree with that sentiment. I put one on in high wind (20 mph winds with 30 mph gusts) and it was not without its challenges. That's when it's good to have a bag large enough to hold it while it's attached to the hammock (which I did and I left it attached until cold weather came along).
when the first bugs fly by...the net goes on for the season...thats how i do it...
everything stays on...just slide it all in the slug for redeployment .
i'll wait until the end of the month to order ... give you guys a chance to catch up.
I use it mainly on my micro so I use the same method as Shane and it works great.
With the micro it is very easy to just slide it to one end..
I might try leaving it on. My Lite Owl is great w/o the net but it won't be long before that's an impossible option.
