Well, I was hoping/expecting the geography and scenery to change since the Conasauga River and the Jacks River is a popular destination around these parts. Especially in hot weather. So....it sure was worth the 3 hour drive getting to the trailhead

Looks like a great place to recharge. Great set up. Thanks for sharing.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your pal. Darn it you almost brought tears to my eyes. I love my little dog and I'm sure that if it wasn't for her I would not do the number of solo hikes that I do. I'll be writing up another trip report for another overnighter that we did just the other day. Stayed tuned.

Haha. The heat on that trip wasn't too bad. I sweat up a storm gathering and processing wood for a fire though. It's a lot of work camping solo. Now if I could get my little dog to help that would be wonderful

I'll tell ya, I am getting pretty darn used to having my chair along. It's a total weight penalty but wow is it nice to sit and relax off of the ground when it's time to chill out for the evening. Brought it along on my trip last week also. Nice!
