I want to thank Bridget the director Camp Miller for letting us use
Camp Miller for the Second MN Frozen Butt Hang.

Snipen for helping with all the behind the scenes mangement.

Book for the carving workshop, great stories, cabin managing and warm smiles.
Your one of the best ! The don't make'em like you anymore.

Stairguy and TZ for all the water hauling, wood chopping, fire tending and pot stiring.

Paul, he's my main man ! Wouldn't have happed with out him. Can't think of harder worker or better man to have on the trail with you. I'm humbled to say he's my friend.
    Besides it's he's parachute !

Most of all I want to thank all you folks that come out in a realy hard place to
challange ones skills and after even a hard first night hung in there and did it
the second night. When by the end the said I can do this !!

Thanks for letting me part of that experence and sharing my love of the forest with you all.

+1 on all that Four dog said

A really big thank you to Camp Miller, and Everyone that helped make this hang a fun trip

Thing1 and I arrived home after taking the long way back... Rockford to Bloomington to Indy to Ky... about 300 miles longer than going through WV on the way up. The winds in Illinois were 40 mph from the west... had to hold the wheel hard over to the right for hours on end. Those fields stretch from horizon to horizon south of Rockford.

Special thanks to Book for giving us so much of his time, materials and tools. Thing1 gave her finished spoon to Smiling Face this evening, all sanded and oiled. It's beautiful! Smiling Face liked it so much she said she would never use it... Thing1 said No! It's supposed to be used! Book sent us home with enough birch crooks to make five or six more utensils!

It was great to see everybody again! I'll see if I can get a video edited tonight... so much to do tomorrow after being gone for a week!

P.S. You won't believe the fantastic ideas FourDog came up with for next year's Frozen Butt Hang!

Good to hear you and Thing1 are home safe and sound.

Thing 1 sure worked hard on that spoon and it looked great for a first project. I don't know who was more proud her or book.

Now you have me worried about next year. I don't think my systems can go below -30*F. Does the name Alaska come to mind

Really cool report man. It's great to see some more photos of the trip and I can't wait until next year's adventures out in the cold. Granted, we have some.
