Having used an open room, a workshed, and a tent to stuff down on various projects, I found that the method of hanging the bag, quilt, etc., on a towel rack in a small bathroom is the best way to do it, ie. the Akwater method. Another helpful tip is to make sure your hands are not sweaty because the feathers will stick to your skin and follow your hand out of the baffle area. Using a thin rubber glove (surgical) or climbers chalk are ways to avoid the problem. Ditto to the color. Thanks for the pics.

I know this is an old post and I'm probably a dummy for asking.......but, what is the reason for the bug netting? I'm going on very little sleep so maybe its obvious, but I don't get it.

Sorry in advance for asking a dumb question.

The netting are the baffles that help keep the down evenly distributed throughout the quilt and keeps it from gathering in one spot. Netting is used for reduced weight.

Ah, it all becomes clear. In the photos it looked like it was sewn flat against one side, but I get it now. Thanks.
