That's some serious warmth! Even the draft collars are serious! Beautiful workmanship & design. That red color has to be good for a fee more degrees, even if it's psychological!

Great looking quilt, Jeremy. Really like the draft collars and the colors. You'll be enjoying that one for a while.

Great job! I'm digg'n that suspension. Is the bungee the full length of the side or does it need to be shorter, say 3/4 the length? I couldn't tell by the video.
    Good luck,

Very nice looking quilt, FIMB. I like the idea for shaping the baffles to concentrate the down to the core area. How did you cut your baffles for the double taper? Is one side straight, or do both sides taper? How hard were they to sew to the second shell?

I'd make one for someone if they wanted, I guess. So long as they didn't mind my crazy schedule (potentially 4-5 week turn around). However, since most of my design ideas are not original, but implementations of other hard work and success, I would not think of going into full time business, I'll just keep making them for friends for now. I love Adam and Jenny's work. In fact it was conversations with Adam that helped me make this happen. I've already made three hammocks, two underquilts, and a top quilt for friends. I kind of see it like when I make log furniture; it is time consuming and only worth making money off of it if I do so few a year it doesn't cost me anything in taxes.

Me too. I'm so glad we can share our achievements and failures on here for critique and education for others.

Thank you, MAD777, I think the red does bring out a few more degrees.

I sure hope so. Most likely, I'll now be selling my Hammock Gear Phoenix.

It is a bit shorter. I'm using 5' on both sides rather than 6', so I've dropped 2' off already. I'm not sure how much more I can drop off without cutting the stretch too much. If you are using a 3/4 length quilt, you should be able to go with much less, as you can attach the quilt to the ridgeline.

That's gorgeous craftsmanship, there, FIMB! Not that I expected anything less, after seeing your other DIY items.

Your wife sure does have an eye for color.

That should keep you warm even down into some serious cold. I look forward to reading about testing!

I wanted to mention two more things. One, the knot for tying the shockcord to the tech line needs to be kept on the outside of the grosgrain for better stretch and less force on the hooks. Two, I am going to test using Dutch's mini quit clips on this quilt as the tension that I set my quilts at were too much for the new quilt hanger.

Thank you, sir. She certainly does. I hope I will get some of that cold weather that NOAA is expecting this year.
