Thanks. That's what I get for speed reading the threads...

12ozs is great. Like Wow great!

I'm thinking about making one with Momemtum 50, 90 or one of those. I'm trying to figure out which one is the lightest, and breathable as well.

I have a bunch of Nubol1 (similar to M50) to make a sock with. I was originally planning a TED style opening but now I'm stuck between that and the zipper opening. I have plenty of #3 zipper and the pulls around here too. Decisions, decisions!

Great idea and even better execution to your plan

I hope we get to see it in action at FLH3

And, Mad777, hurry with your decision, I want to see the end result, also
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Never heard of Nubol1. Did a Bing search and came up blank. You could always start out with a TED design and mod it to the zipper later on. It would be interesting to see the weight as TED.

    Nobul 1 fabric

Titaniumgoat.com fabric tab. It is a very light weight 10D fabric different coating than Momentum. Nice stuff.

Thanks for the link.. The price on it seem fair as well. I would love to try some of the SevenD, but at $20 yard, I would be scared to touch it.

That is awesome! I wonder if you could somehow make it where it's a tarp too. so when its nice out it you have a tarp and if it starts to get cold you could undo one side, bring it around, and zip it up into sock form?

Hey MADD777 - go with the zipper. I changed my mind and I like it so much better than the TED pull down. My zipper is 7' long and it's just more convenient - can open it a little or a lot for ventilation or just to peek outside. I can also still step into the sock and change clothes and what not.

I'll be sewing the top closed as soon as I get time this weekend.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
