Yepper, little coleman cheapies. I've hung on them a dozen or so times. At 330 lbs., I think thats a pretty good stress test.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
I've done it both ways, this method is a twist, with the line just flopping inside the gate of the biner. Not to complicate things, just a variation. Loop just thrown over the biner works fine, and is usually what I do.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
I already have biners on my pack. I think biners may be the way to go. But if I get to a 7-11 I'm getting ne of those straws for sure. And sticks form the ground.... Sounds a little shadey, but I'm going to try it this weekend. So much gear to test, so little time.
Peace Dutch

Dutch, you don't need straws if you use the arrow sections I sent. Just whittle off the fletchings and you are ready to go!

I use a couple of short pieces of an old lightweight tent pole. Hooked up Grizz-style to my tree hugger.
Did not need that tent any old ways.......
