    Not sure if this relates but I use marshalltown mason's line, it is braided, it's strong and the easiest stuff in the world to splice. Just used a large needle. In comparsion regarding splicing I found it much easier than 7/64 amsteel.

    i get the wire up no problem.. it is when i start pulling the zing it back through to make the buried tail, the wire lets go of the zing it every single time... i tapered the ends as instructed but it still seems like a lot to fit through that little whole.

    your problem maybe angle. when inserting the wire don't push for center it will catch on the core. slide in and up a little and you'll slide right through.

    Sometimes my fingers get sore, never blisters...I mean there aren't that many numbers on my credit card to type in when I order my prespliced cord, just sayin...no blisters....

    i did it! make your tapered ends very long to start out with and it is a cinch. i made my first continous loop and so darn happy.
